Money Clips (7.30)

Money Clips: A collection of interesting news that may or may not be about money.

Lockpicking

A woman engaged in competitive lockpicking. It's called locksport. Totally serious.

News to me. You know what I never knew you could compete in? Lockpicking.

A zonkey? What do you get when you cross a zebra and a donkey? Guess what? Now we know! And they’re calling it a.. (drumroll please)…. zedonk. I’m shaking my head as you read this. But you really should click on the link and check out the picture, which is awesome.

Airport pasties! Well thank goodness someone thought of this. Are you uncomfortable at the idea of full body airport scanners that give airport security staff a good look at what’s under your clothes? Enter Flying Pasties, stage left. Slip the rubbery little discs into your clothes at strategic points and protect your airport modesty. Also available with little sayings printed on them, such as “Only my husband sees me naked.” From the AJC.

Lost and found. Evidently there’s a certain risk to keeping llamas on school property: They could escape at 3 a.m. But only for 30 minutes, because the school (which keeps llamas, let me remind you) knows what to do. “It’s fairly easy,” administrator Les Garber is quoted as saying. “You bring them some food and they come charging.” From the AJC.

Why you shouldn’t leave someone else in charge. An Idaho thrift store manager had some work to do off site and left her employees in charge. In her absence, they accidentally sold her laptop. For $5. From USA Today.

Have a great weekend, all. Practice your lockpicking, maybe.
